Day 1 : Zagora / Erg Lihoudi
In the afternoon, you drive south of Zagora, the capital of the desert, along the Draa Valley to the little town of Tamegroute to visit the library of 4.000 manuscripts and the local pottery.
You carry on driving to the town of Tagounit where we take an off-road (16 kms) to our camp
By the sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi. Upon arrival, camel ride in the dunes to watch the spectacular sunset and then back to your camp for dinner and night.
Day 2 : Erg Lihoudi / Chegaga
Morning camel ride in the desert to the oasis of Oulad Driss (4 hours). Visit an old kasbah, local museum and palmery. Picnic lunch before driving further south via the oasis of Oum Laalag towards the dunes of Chegaga where you camp by the big dune
Day 3 : Chegaga / Foum Zguid
An early wake up to admire the beautiful sunrise, then you head west driving on the desertic road, via the dry lake of Iriki, the remote village of Zaouit Sidi Abdenbi… On the way you stop to have Saharian tea with the nomads in their tents, and you can visit local school of the nomads. Picnic lunch on the way. In the afternoon, you carry on to stop for fossil prospection in the area before joining your campsite in the oasis of Foum Zguid
Day 4 : Foum Zguid / Taroudant
This morning we head west to Taroudant via Tissint where stop to have tea in a Berber house, see the waterfalls before continuing to Tata where we stop for lunch. After lunch, you drive via the town of Igherm, crossing hills spotted by remote Berber villages and Argan trees before getting to Taroudant.(5 hours)
